Sharing to the world

Two things that I will try more in my class is to
- share 1:1 and 1:group positive feedback about students work.
- share more of what tamariki want to share on our class blog instead of teacher
lead.

Things I have found successful
- staff sharing on our school face book page.
- Sharing with parents when they come in to pick their tamariki up after school.

Sharing to the world...

I would like to try and create and share a digital powhiri process with another kura.
I have found sharing knowledge by co-creating a context of learning and resources with my colleagues to be a very positive and motivating experience.
Sharing current events and learning experiences via facebook & messaging has created positive feedback & relationships with our whanau and community.

Sharing to the world

Two things that I have learnt from today that I am going to try with my tamariki:
- Sharing using QR codes.
- Giving students more opportunities to share their mahi and also provide positive comments about students work 1:1 or 1:group.

Sharing techniques I have found successful:
- Sharing on Youtube
- Sharing on school Facebook page
- Performances

Te Maunga

We are going to be filming plays and our own short films as a way of sharing beyond the normal scope of our blog

Sharing work during assemblies has been successful for some of our learners and blogging recent events has been a good way of engaging learners.

Sharing

I would love to try seesaw as a way of sharing our mahi with their whanau at home.
My children in my class are starting to become more confident in writing a reflective blog post.

Sharing

In future we are going to set up a group chat with parents to communicate and co-ordinate fundraising logistics (who's buying the potatoes, who's cooking the hangi) instantly and reducing arduous after school meetings.

Something new that I might try from today is - Consider how to share one - 1 using more te reo Maori.

My learners really enjoy using their class blogs. We use this as a platform for shared writing and they can not wait to get comments that they are able to respond to.

Through facebook we put out updates of our Gardening project. Again it is a place where the tamariki enjoy hearing feedback for all the mahi that they are doing.

What is successful with learners -  The Seesaw app is brilliant for sharing our learning with whanau.
Google hangouts - for meetings and PD.  Had a great one last week from Christchurch all about vertical grouping.

Sharing to the World

Two examples of sharing that we have found success with my learners.

1.  My students enjoy leading class Karakia every morning.
This consists of;
Inoi
Himene
Mihi
Waiata Tautoko
This adds to their self-efficacy, confidence, and wellness.

2.  The second example is students sharing their knowledge on what they have learned about Explain Everything.
This promotes the ability to move around this application.

Sharing With the World

Blogging is a very useful tool for sharing learning with the world.  It enables tamariki to share with a wide range of audiences and obtain immediate feedback.

Establishing and maintaining a school site/FB page is another way of creating a dialogue with an outside audience.

I will continue to work on establishing my own professional blog.

Sharing Sharing Sharing

Two examples Ruma Tekau has shared to the world is blogging and sharing some of our awesome mahi onto our school newsletter. Ka Rawe!

Sharing with the world

Creating writing challenges and uploading these onto our blog.  Students/parents and the wider community then share their ideas back in the comments or bring things into class.

Karakia being recorded and then uploaded to the class blog.  This helps students to rewind their learning and also has proved to be a great connecting point for others outside our school community.  - other local schools have commented on how they use the same karakia and that it is useful to them, as well as others connecting with the purpose behind us learning our Karakai. e.g. staying on a Marae.

Sharing to the World

Blogging is an effective way to share our learning with the world.
Our classroom site also shares our learning to the world.

My students enjoy sharing their work either with screencastify, or padlet.

Sharing, Sharing, Sharing

Two examples of sharing that has been successful with learners is giving students are;
Giving students the freedom to SHARE to their blog what they want to share. They have a minimum of 2 posts per week!
Also, sharing at assembly! They love the face to face sharing.
